The Ausband Firm has been retained to represent a family devastated in Amtrak derailment

Attorneys with the Ausband Firm will be representing a family that was devastated in the tragic train derailment that occurred in May just outside of Philadelphia. The investigation of the Amtrak derailment that claimed the lives of eight people and injured hundreds more continues to make progress. Speeding at more than double the limit when it entered a sharp left curve, the emergency brakes were applied just moments before derailing.

Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are still working to determine the exact cause of the accident, according to TIME. In a preliminary report released on the 2nd of June, NTSB investigators report that mechanical problems were not to blame for the accident after examining the track structure, signals, and the train’s brake system.

Whatever the outcome of the the NTSB investigation, the Ausband Firm is committed to helping those affected by the accident cope with the substantial financial and emotional burden that has been imposed upon them. Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to all the families affected by this tragedy.
