A major accident on Tuesday, August 23 , shut down Moreland Avenue in DeKalb County for almost four hours, the Georgia Department of Transportation reported.
A cement truck busted a tire, flipped over, and crossed over the median around 10 a.m. Officials extricated the driver from the truck around noon and brought him to a hospital with “minor lacerations to the leg and head,” fire official Kevin Cavanaugh said. It took about 90 minutes to remove the driver from the truck. Following the accident, traffic was rerouted onto I-675 southbound.
