On February 12, a tractor trailer overturned at I-75 in a busy Metro Atlanta interchange, according to news reports. The truck was loaded with 37,000 pounds of plastic, and while the load did not spill, the highway was still shut down by the authorities after a small fuel spill.
The report stated that the accident caused one lane to be blocked, but the cleanup for the fuel spill shut down the entire northbound ramp of I-75 to I-285 west at around 6:00 a.m. The cause of the accident is still unknown, and there are no reports of injuries or damages to any other vehicles.
While this accident might not have caused significant damage to other vehicles or injuries to other drivers, the fuel spill or damages to the road may still lead to future injuries or accidents.
